2016 – 2017 Academic Year
The Los Angeles County Psychological Association Foundation is seeking scholarship applicants for the 2016-2017 academic year. It is a merit-based program providing scholarships for doctoral-level clinical psychology students who are permanent residents of Los Angeles County. The online application period for the 2016-2017 academic year is open now and closes February 1, 2017
The Los Angeles County Psychological Association Foundation was founded in 1990 as a nonprofit extension of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA) a chapter of the California Psychological Association (CPA). The LACPA, and by extension the Foundation, represents over 4,000 licensed psychologists within Los Angeles County. The focus of the Foundation’s giving has changed over the years, but one thing has remained constant: the promotion of human welfare through psychology.
This year, the Foundation's main focus is assisting those who provide mental health services to relieve suffering in those whose basic human rights have been minimized or violated. The Foundation will provide two scholarships each in the amount of $1,000.
Please see the attached pages for full scholarship requirements. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at Scholarship@LACPAFoundation.org or 323-977-9483.
We look forward to reviewing your application!
